Modi On 7 Days US Visit Will Start Tomorrow

PM Modi is on 7 days US visit starting from today.  In this visit he is not going to discuss Kashmir issue.  But according to Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale he is going to discuss Business and strategic issues with US.  

However, his bilateral talks with US President Donald Trump will be important in strategic terms. Apart from Trump, Modi will also have a separate meeting with the heads of about 45 small and big countries.

Adding more on the visit Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale said that it is a very busy schedule from day one. Modi's journey will begin in the US city of Houston, which is known as a stronghold of energy companies. 

Modi's petroleum sector reputation is set for a meeting with 16 companies. It has companies like Total, Winmar, ExxonMobil, ISS Market, British Petroleum, McDormat.  He will have bilateral meetings with 20 heads of state. 

There will be a separate multilateral meeting with a group of 12 countries located in the Pacific maritime zone. After this he has a separate meeting with heads of countries of the Caribbean region.
Modi will have a separate meeting with the heads or CEOs of 43 companies on 25 September 2019 in New York. Companies whose heads have shown interest in attending the meeting include IBM, Delroy, Bank of America, JP Morgan, Lockheed Martin, Marriott International, MasterCard, Qualcomm, Visa, Walmart, Amazon, PepsiCo, Prudential, Franklin Templeton, MetLife Companies will be.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
