Prime Minister Modi Pays Tribute To Sardar Patel


Prime Minister Modi shared on his twitter handle pictures of paying tribute by him to the Iron man.  Today is the 144th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel.   And PM Modi paid a tribute to him at the statue of Unity in Kevadia by a helicopter of Indian Air Force showered flowers on the worlds largest statue of Unity.  



As reported earlier Prime Minister Modi had inaugurated the 182 meter tall statue of Sardar Patel on this day last year. This day is celebrated as National Integration Day. During this period PM Modi administered the oath of unity to the employees present on the occasion of Jayanti. On this occasion, along with PM Modi, Governor Acharya Devvrat, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani Sahitya, several representatives were present.

Apart from the Prime Minister, many leaders including President Ram Nath Kovind, Home Minister Amit Shah paid tribute to the country's first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on the 144th birth anniversary here. 

Sardar Patel was born on 31 October 1875 in Nadiad, Gujarat. He got the credit and appreciation of merging more than 560 princely states into the Union of India at the time of Independence and was the first Home Minister of the country. Programs are being organized across the country on Patel's birth anniversary.
