Fifteen People Died In Wall Collapse Due To Heavy Rains

 According to latest news coming in from Tamil Nadu 15 people have been reportedly died when a wall of a house collapsed due to heavy rains, while many people have been injured.  

The incident is reported this morning from Nadur Kannappan Layout of Mettupalayam.  Rescue work is going on in full swing.  It is being told that due to the heavy rain the wall was completely dilapidated.  So far nine bodies have been recovered from the spot.

There have been heavy rainfall in many parts of Tamil Nadu and neighboring state of Puducherry  in the last 24 hours.  The Meteorological Department has forecasted more rains in the next two days.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
