Nirbhaya Final Verdict Will Be Carried Soon

Akshay Singh's death sentence in the Nirbhaya gang rape case of the capital Delhi remains intact.  Today, after hearing all the arguments on behalf of Akshay's lawyer AP Singh, the Supreme Court dismissed Akshay's reconsideration petition.  Earlier, Akshay's lawyer had said that Akshay should not be sentenced to death, it is against human rights.  

A bench of Justices R Bhanumati, Ashok Bhushan and AS Bopanna heard Akshay's petition.  The hanging of Nirbhaya's convicts is fixed.  The Supreme Court has dismissed the reconsideration petition of Akshay, a convict of Nirbhaya.  The court said that there is no sense in the argument as  there is no flaw in the trial.

Earlier today, after hearing all the arguments on behalf of Akshay's lawyer AP Singh, the Supreme Court dismissed Akshay's reconsideration petition.  That is, the Supreme Court has upheld the sentence of Akshay.  During the hearing in the Patiala High Court today, the judge asked what happened to the reconsideration petition?  The lawyers said that it was rejected.

At the same time, Mukesh petition was also done through video conferencing at 3.15 pm as he has no lawyer in this case.  The judge said that the court is giving you all the time.  Therefore, complete the preparation by 7 January.  Along with this, the court has ordered the jail administration to issue hanging notice.
