PM Modi Given Clean Chit In Godhra Case

The Commission investigating Gujarat Godhra case and Gujarat riots has given a clean chit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.  Justice Nanavati constituted investigating the riots, Justice Mehta Commission has given a clean chit.  The role of three IPS officers during the same riots has been considered suspicious.  

In the nearly five thousand page report of Justice GT Nanavati and Justice Akshay Mehta presented in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly on Wednesday, three former ministers of Gujarat including the then Chief Minister of Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the then Minister of State for Home Affairs, Home Minister Amit Shah in the Union Government, late Haren.  Pandya has given a clean chit to the late Ashok Bhatt and Bharat Barot.  

As reported earlier 58 karsevaks were burnt alive in the Godhra carnage, while 40 were injured.

 According to the information received, the commission has presented its three thousand page final report, along with this report has been prepared on the basis of about 44 thousand 445 affidavits and affidavits of 488 government officials and police officers.  

According to the information, Modi went to inspect the site as the chief minister.  The allegations of destroying evidence on them have also been found to be baseless.  Police and administration officials held meetings to stop the riots at the CM's residence and office, but the allegations of giving the police administration an open exemption to the rioters have also been found to be baseless.
