Shock To Thackeray Government, 400 Shiv Sainiks Join BJP

Reports have been coming in from Maharashtra where Shiv Sena formed the government with the support of Nationalist Congress Party and Congress. But angered by the party's decision, 400 Shiv Sainiks have joined BJP on Wednesday. All the workers joined BJP in a program in Dharavi.

According to the reports coming in by a senior BJP leader "Four hundred supporters of our party joined BJP because they felt cheated when the party joined hands with non-Hindu parties," said Ramesh Nadesan, a special executive of Shiv Sena. 

No one understands the feelings and emotions of the supporter who actually works for the party without changing anything. For the last seven years, we have been fighting against Congress and NCP supporters. During the elections, the workers go to every door and ask for votes. How can we go back and face the same people against whom we sought votes to form an honest government

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
