CAA Implemented From January 10

The Modi government of the Center has implemented the revised citizenship law across the country.  In this regard, a notification has also been issued in the Ministry of Home Affairs.  This law has become effective from 10 January.  

According to the notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Indian citizenship will be given to non-Muslim refugees from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh under the Civil Amendment Act applicable from 10 years.

 The amended citizenship law was passed in Parliament on 11 December.  After which the law was protested in many parts of the country.  During this time there was heavy damage to arson and government properties.
