Supreme Court Review On Jammu And Kashmir

The Supreme Court heared today on the restrictions in Jammu and Kashmir.  Regarding the matter, the Supreme Court has said that there is a lot of tough action on the internet in the valley the government should also tell about the new order, the court has said that a committee will be formed to review the law and order of sanctions in the valley.

 The Supreme Court has said that the Internet is the fundamental right of the general public.  The government should immediately review the situation to remove the ban on internet in the valley.  The court has ordered the government that the state government should ban all the orders regarding the internet and remove Section 144 and all orders in the valley.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
