Election Update- Trends Show AAP Leading, BJP Losing Hope

 The counting of votes in Delhi is still on. Though picture is more or less is clear, with AAP leading on 57 seats and BJP leading on 13 seats. There is no good news for Congress, as the party is still not able to open it's score. The celebrations in AAP's office are on and party workers have already started celebrating and distributing sweets. The regret on BJP's face is very clear, as it seems that the party has accepted it's defeat.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
