Sonia Gandhi admitted in Hospital In Delhi

Sonia Gandhi, the interim president of Congress party has been admitted to Sir Gangaram Hospital in Delhi and undergoing treatment. According to the reports coming in, it's just for a routine checkup as she was having stomach ache, because of which she was admitted.

73-year-old Sonia Gandhi has been facing health related problems for the past few years and has not been so active in politics these days. After the defeat of the Congress party in last Lok Sabha elections and when Rahul Gandhi resigned, she took over the post of the interim President of the party. She holds the record of being the President of Congress Party for the longest time till date.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
