Public Transport And Private Transport Shut Down In Bengaluru As COVID-19 Cases Swore To 433 In India

According to recent reports all public transport and private transport vehicles have been stopped in Bengaluru.

This public and private transport includes Ola Uber private taxis which will be non operational from tomorrow.

This decision was taken by Karnataka Government in a view to the simultaneous rise COVID-19 cases.

As reported COVID-19 total cases have jumped to 433 with active cases at 402.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
