Alarming Rises In The Cases Of COVID-19 In The Country

There has been an unprecedented rise in the cases of covid-19 in the country.

With the confirmed cases crossed 20, 528.  Cases in India have been increasing alarmingly.

Most of the cases coming from Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh all the efforts of Government of India as well as state governments to try to stop the spread of covid-19 is not bringing up the results that could have been brought.

Around 4100 cases have recovered so far.  With 653 deaths recorded from the country.

With the lockdown extended till May 3rd 2020.  The cases coming up in India has been under control but still we cannot say that we had won the fight against this dreaded pandemic.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
