India On The Path To Win Covid-19 Pandemic

Reports have been coming in with the covid-19 patients in the country.  Around 28, 217 patients have been tested positive for covid-19 infection.

Around 887 fatalities have been recorded so far and 6693 people have recovered.

India has also tested successfully plasma therapy on one of the patients in Delhi.  In Delhi 35 year old man has been given plasma therapy and with that he has totally recovered.  Now he is not showing any sign of covid-19 pandemic.

As a country is experiencing total lockdown till May 03, 2020 with some districts which have been declared free from Covid-19 pandemic.  

It is expected that India may when this fight and the results in India are quite positive.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
