Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman To Address Press Conference At 4 P.M. Today

Yesterday in his speech PM Modi has said that the central government will be providing Rs 20 Lakh crore package to various industries for their upliftment.

Adding to this Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will be addressing a press conference at 4:00 p.m. today.

As per sources it is expected that Finance Minister will be giving short details of the Rs 20 Lakh Crore package.

This pankage will be given to the small scale industries farmers and various Other industries who have been struggling hard in this crisis of covid-19 outbreak.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
