Alarming Rise In The Cases Of COVID-19 In The Country

According to reports coming in there have been highest number of cases in covid-19 in the country.

The total number of cases in the country have crossed 2,36,184.  Till now India has reported 6649 deaths so far.

Maharashtra has been reporting highest number of covid-19 cases with the cases crossing 80,000 mark.  

Tamil Nadu who has won the second highest positive cases in the state in the country with cases covering more than 28000 mark.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
