Allahabad High Court Stays Order On Recruitment Of Assistant Teacher

Reports are coming from Uttar Pradesh, that an order halted the recruitment of 69000 basic assistant teachers on Friday by the division bench the Allahabad High court. 



The government had challenged Arjun tree order by a single judge bench on the same court throughout a special appeal



The court, however, said the government could proceed in terms of the Supreme Court order of June 9 passed on a special leave petition, under which 37,339 posts would have to be kept vacant for “siksha mitras”, while the remaining could be filled up.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
