US Ship First Tranche Of 100 Donated Ventilators To India Next Week

Donald trump extended an invitation to prime minister Narendra Modi to attend the next G7 summit to be held in USA. 

Donald trump also said that USA is ready to ship the first tranche of hundred donated ventilators to India next week. 

Trump spoke about the US presidency of  G7 and his desire toexpand the existing group membership to include other important countries including India. 

India's prime minister Narendra Modi saidIndia will be happy to work with US and other countries to ensure the success of the proposed G7  summit.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
