Trains Can Privatised By April 2023

Reports are coming from Railway Board that Chairman has announced that 5% is being offered to private operators under Public Private Partnership and 95% trains will be run by Indian Railways. 

Majority of trains will be manufactured in India. Private train operator will fix fare keeping in mind the fares of airlines and AC buses. 

Reports are also coming that Railway Board Chairman , VK Yadav has said that their target is that the private trains start running by April 2023. Also a mechanism will be setup to monitor the performance of the private trains.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
