Reports have been coming in from Turkey where a major earthquake struck killing around 17 people so far.
According to Turkey's media Search and rescue operation is underway in Izmir city after an earthquake with a magnitude of 7 on Richter Scale hit Aegean Sea, causing massive loss of life and property.
As per reports coming in Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency, death toll stands at 17 so far, 709 injured.
The Turkey media has reported that around 196 aftershocks have been felt with 23 hitting over magnitude 4 following major Izmir earthquake.
