West Bengal: Locals Stops Trains In Protest

Reports have been coming in from West Bengal where protest have been going on in full swing and railway tracks and train services have been blocked by people.

As per reports coming in people in West Bengal have blocked railway tracks at Pundooah railway station demanding train services for everyone as they face difficulty in commuting.

Right now only special trains are being run from the station as of now. And people are facing problem from travelling one place to another as trains are one of the most important transportation service of the country.

Absence in the number of trains are leading problem in the people's life.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
