Owaisi Can Create History In Bengal Elections

Assembly elections are due in West Bengal next year. The BJP has started preparations for the election. Home Minister Amit Shah has visited Bengal last month. During his tour, he took part in Durga Puja, the most prominent puja of Bengal.

The war between Mamta and BJP in Bengal has been going on for the past years, because in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP won 19 seats in the Mamata stronghold. Similarly, the BJP also wants to wave the fifth victory in the Bengal Assembly elections this time.

In the ongoing war between Mamta's party TMC and BJP, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president Asraduddin Owaisi has jumped. With Owaisi's entry in Bengal elections, Mamata government is in the worst position.

However, Trinamool Congress has got many big leaders of Owaisi's party in its court. But despite this, the Mamta government is afraid of Owaisi, because Owaisi can disturb the political equations of Trinamool Congress in the assembly elections in West Bengal?

In fact, 30 percent of Bengal's 100 to 120 seats are decided by Muslim voters and this is the solid vote bank of Trinamool Congress. Although Owaisi has sent a proposal to the BJP to tie up with Mamata to defeat the Bengal elections, Mamata rejected itNot accepting Owaisi's proposal may put Mamata at bay and not only this, in the way in the Bihar elections, Owaisi dashed into Muslim vote bank and captured 5 seats. In the same way, now Mamata is feeling threatened by Owaisi in the Bengal elections.

Bengal has the highest Muslim vote bank after Kashmir. In such a situation, with the arrival of Owaisi's party, Mamta's game can be spoiled. Also Muslim population is 27.01 percent of the total population of West Bengal. Districts like Bengal's Uttar Dinajpur, South Dinajpur, South 24 Parganas, Murshidabad, Malda have more than 40 per cent Muslim voters and Murshidabad, North Dinajpur and Malda have 34 assembly seats.

Till 2006, the Left Front occupied Muslim votes. But gradually Mamta's party attracted Muslim voters. Because of which Mamta's government remained in 2001 and 2016. But with the BJP's challenge and Owaisi's entry, Owaisi has become the biggest headache for the Mamta government.

However, Mamta has claimed that Owaisi's party will not have a significant impact in the elections. Owaisi can have an impact only on Hindi and Urdu speaking Muslims. But no magic will work on the Muslims of Bengal.

Well, there is still a long time in the assembly elections, it will have to be seen whether the BJP will benefit from Owaisi's entry into the elections, or will Owaisi be able to open his account in Bengal like Bihar. It will be interesting to see.
