Report have been coming in from Odisha where priests in Bhubaneswar held protest demanding the reopening of religious places in the State, yesterday.
All the religious places in Orissa has been closed because of the norms of covid-19 in the state since March 2020. After that the religious places were not opened and the local priests are facing problems in in leading their live livelihood.
Since the temples were their only source of income and the closure of religious places in Orissa have brought them acute crisis in earning their livelihood.
Kameswar Tripathy, President of Odisha Mandir Sevayat Sangh speaking to ANI has said that, "Government should consider our grievances. How will we sustain our livelihood if temples remain shut?"
