IRCTC Clarifies Media Reports On Government Reaching Sikhs Through It's Official Website

In a news report which has been published in a section of media that Govt has reached out to Sikhs through IRCTC emails. 

As per reports coming in from IRCTC which has informed to all that comments of IRCTC have not been quoted correctly and mails have been sent to all irrespective any particular community.

As per the IRCTC information this is not the first instance. Earlier also, such activities have been undertaken by IRCTC to promote government welfare schemes in the public interest.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
