West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee Visits BCCI Chief Saurav Ganguly In Hospital

Latest reports coming in from Kolkata where West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee arrives at Woodlands Hospital where BCCI President Sourav Ganguly is admitted.

has said that he (Sourav Ganguly) is fine now, he even spoke to me. I thank the hospital authority and doctors here.


As per reports coming in on Saturday afternoon after Sourav Ganguly complaint of uneasiness in chest he was rushed to hospital where he had undergone angioplasty and is stable now after suffering a "mild cardiac arrest while walking on a treadmill.

Ganguly was diagnosed with three blocked coronary arteries after which a stent was inserted in one to remove the blockage," Dr Saroj Mondal, whose team performed the procedure at Woodlands Hospital, said.

"He had an acute myocardial infarction (MI). We have found three blocks in his heart. We have conducted a primary angioplasty on him and one stent has been inserted. He is awake and absolutely stable," Mondal said.  

According to him he suffered a myocardial infarction while doing the treadmill this morning. He had a similar experience Friday also. He was rushed to the hospital immediately and that helped us a lot in treating him," the doctor said.
