India Has Reported 18,177 Total Cases In The Past 24 Hours

Reports have been coming in from the ministry of Health and Family Welfare which has stated the data for covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours.

As per reports coming in India reported 18,177 new COVID-19 cases in the country in the past 24 hours.  

However, India has reported a total number of 20,923 recoveries and 217 deaths as per Union Health Ministry

Till now total number of 1,03,23,965 cases has been reported from the onset of the disease.  Total number of 2,47,220 active cases are there in the country and a total number of recoveries are 99,27,310.  Total death toll is 1,49,435 from covid-19 till now.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
