Serum Institute To Supply 1.1 Billion Doses To Unicef To Be Provided To Low And Middle Income Countries

Latest reports have been coming in from India serum Institute which will supply 1.1 billion doses of covid-19 to UNICEF and those doses will be delivered to low and middle-income countries at low prices.

UNICEF chief Henrietta Fore said these shots would be delivered over a number of years at the cost of about $3 per dose for low and middle-income countries. 

These doses would be produced by Serum under a technology transfer agreement, she said in a briefing as per reports coming in from Reuters.

India's Serum Institute will supply 1.1 billion doses of COVID19 vaccines developed by AstraZeneca and Novavax to the COVAX vaccine.

These doses would be supplied as a  scheme as part of a new long-term deal, head of the UN Children's Fund said on Wednesday as per reports shared by Reuters.
