TMC MP Mahua Moitra Asks Delhi Police To Immediately Withdraw Her Security Surveillance

Latest reports have been coming in from TMC where an TMC MP Mahua Moitra in her complaint against the security provided to her has written to Delhi Police.

As per reports coming in TMC MP Mahua Moitra has written to Delhi Police stating that three armed officers have been deputed outside her house.

As per reports she neither have asked nor wanted any such protection.  She has requested Delhi Police to take away any such surveillance as she doesn't need them.

And she has requested that these officers to be removed. She states, "It appears I'm under some sort of surveillance." 

She further adds not to waste resources on protecting just me, protect everybody. I don't need anything special, I don't take security. 

According to Mahua Moitra if you're surveilling me, ask me and I'll tell you. Indian democracy is already under threat, don't make us feel like we're living in Russian Gulag.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
