According to recent press release the United States of America has said that it is standing besides the people of Burma for their rights and it will not let any army to ignore the democratic rights of people.
The US opposes any attempt to alter outcome of recent elections or impede Myanmar’s democratic transition.
The US government will take action against those responsible if these steps aren't reversed. US Government is monitoring the situation closely and stand with the people of Burma: White House Spokesperson
US will continue to affirm our strong support for Burma’s democratic institutions and in coordination with our regional partners, urge the military.
The US urges all other parties to adhere to democratic norms and the rule of law and to release those detained today as per the White House Spokesperson Jen Psaki.
The US is alarmed by reports that Burmese military has taken steps to undermine country’s democratic transition, including arrest of State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi.
White House Spokesperson Jen Psaki has said that the US Government opposes the army action and other civilian officials in Burma. President Biden has been briefed by NSA.
