India Tackled Covid Situation Maturely:India's Representative At UN T S Murthy

Latest reports have been coming in from India's permanent representative to UN T S Murthy who had said that it India enacted measures to augment its food security.

This food security at onset of the pandemic and provided food aid to several countries. We are committed to assisting vulnerable nations with food security.

We have also provided vaccines to tackle coronavirus too as per India's Permanent Rep to UN, TS Tirumurti UNSC.

He has further added that link between food insecurity and conflict is context and region-specific. UNSC must take up conflict-induced food-security issues only in context of specific countries where it may pose a threat to international peace and security as per India's Permanent Rep to UN, TS Tirumurti on food security.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
