Maharashtra Ministers Says False Reports Doing Rounds

Latest reports having coming in from Maharashtra where Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh has said that over the past many days false reports are doing rounds in media. 

I was hospitalised from Feb 5-15 after testing COVID positive on Feb 5. Got discharged on Feb 15 & was home quarantine for 10 days hence on Feb 15, I came to Mumbai via private plane: Maharashtra HM Anil Deshmukh

As per doctor's advice, I used to visit park late at night for Pranayama thereon. I attended few virtual meetings in Nagpur hospital & later during home quarantine. 

Few officers visited me at home for briefing prior to Budget Session on March 1 as per Maharashtra Home Minister.

According to the Minister I stepped out of my home on February 28 for the first time for official work. 

I am sharing all this so that people are not misguided as per Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
