Haryana Health Department Improved Vaccine Wastage Tremendously

Latest reports have been coming in from Haryana where state government has released the data for the wastage of covid vaccination.

As per reports coming in data released by the Centre showed Haryana had a 6% vaccine wastage percentage of Covieshield & 10.2% wastage of Covaxin. 

Thereafter, Health Department swung into action, identified data mismatch and corrected it (Covishield wastage - 3.1% and Covaxin wastage - 2.4%) as per Haryana State government.

Haryana Health Department improved vaccine wastage data from 6%, as per data recently released by Central govt, to 2-3%. 

Vaccine wastage percentage was relatively higher in the data released by the Centre as there was data mismatch and the districts have rectified it as per Haryana State Government.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
