Man Assaulted By BBMP Officials

Latest reports have been coming in from Karnataka where a video has surfaced in which a man was allegedly seen being assaulted by a BBMP booth level officer.

The incident has occurred after the man mistook a queue for COVID19 testing to be that for vaccination. He was allegedly assaulted when he refused to undergo the test. FIR has been registered under multiple sections of IPC.

According to BBMP Commisioner we regret the incident at Nagarathpet testing booth. There's no question of forceful testing. We condemn any physical altercation that happened. 

Inquiry would be conducted to find out what led to this, who is responsible and also to prevent any such recurrence as per BBMP Commissioner.

However it has been reported in a viral video, a man was seen being assaulted by a BBMP booth level officer after he mistook a queue for COVID19 testing to be that for vaccination.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
