Twitter Releases It's Official Statement On Users Privacy

Latest reports have been coming in from Twitter’s where it has released a statement is an attempt to dictate its terms to the world’s largest democracy. 

Through its actions and deliberate defiance, Twitter seeks to undermine
India’s legal system as per Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology through ANI.

Twitter needs to stop beating around the bush & comply with laws of the land. Law making and policy formulations is sole prerogative of the sovereign and Twitter is just a social media platform.

As per reports it has no locus in dictating what should India’s legal policy framework should be according to MeitY.

Govt assures that representatives of social media companies incl Twitter are and will always remain safe in India.

According to sources there is no threat to their personal safety and security. Govt condemns Twitter's statement as baseless, false and an attempt to defame India to hide their follies according to MeitY.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
