French President Praises India Over Covid Situation

Latest reports have been coming in from office of the French president where fresh president has said that India and in particular SII, blocked by export restrictions on ingredients needed to produce vaccines from certain G7 economies. 

According to the President restrictions must be lifted so India can produce more for itself and quickly supply Africans in particular, who are dependent on its production.

The President further adds that there have been export bans by several G7 member countries that blocked production in other countries.

It sometimes blocked production in middle-income countries,which is essential for production of vaccines for poorest countries. I'll take just one example, India as per French President.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
