Latest reports have been coming in from External Affairs Ministry where External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar has shared his views in UNSC.
According to the reports coming in EAM S Jaishankar at UNSC has said that we are pleased to inform that the Council has adopted a Resolution on ‘Accountability of Crimes against UN Peacekeepers’.
As per reports it has also adopted a resolution on Presidential Statement on ‘Technology for Peacekeeping’, the first such UN Security Council document on this topic:
We welcome the presidential statement on peacekeeping just adopted by the Council. Use of technology in peacekeeping should focus on safety of personnel.
This is with relation with prior consultation with respective countries before surveillance should be done to respect their sovereignty as according to China at UNSC.
