Latest reports happen coming in from United States of America where former US President Donald Trump is about to launch his own social media platform called 'TRUTH Social'.

Speaking on this occasion on the launch of his social media platform Ex President Donald Trump has said that we live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced.

Trump says the group will form "a rival to the liberal media consortium."

A beta version of 'TRUTH Social' will be available to invited guests in November, as per the release.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
