States And Union Territories Should Reduce VAT On Air Fuel To Increase Air Traffic: Civil Aviation Minister

Latest reports have been coming in from the national capital of the country New Delhi where national Union Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has urged states of India with various schemes to initiate development in the aviation industry.

According to reports coming in the Union Minister has stated that at present, we need 9,500 pilots.  According to the Minister over 40% of pilots go abroad for training and again there is forex outgo. 

The training cost of a pilot is around Rs 1.5-2 Cr. We have to move flying and pilot training here according to Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Minister of Civil Aviation. 

The Minister urged States and Union Territories to reduce the value-added tax (VAT) on jet fuel as it will help in increasing air traffic.

According to reports Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia was speaking at a conference of the ministers of civil aviation from states and Union Territories in Delhi.
