EAM Dr S Jaishankar Shares Consequences Of Ukraine Conflict In Lok Sabha

Latest reports have been coming in from the national capital of the country New Delhi where External Affairs Minister Dr S jayashankar in a statement in Lok Sabha has disclosed the consequences of the conflict going on presently in Ukraine.

According to the reports coming in External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar in Lok Sabha has said that the conflict in Ukraine has had significant consequences for the global economy and for our national economy. 

Like all countries, we too are assessing the implications and deciding what is best for our national interest according to EAM Dr S Jaishankar in Lok Sabha. 

The Minister has further added that members are aware that in a complex and globalised world, every nation takes into account the reality of interdependence. 

Therefore, even as they express their position in words and deeds, they also adopt policies that safeguard the well being of their population according to EAM in Lok Sabha.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
