Energy Plant Installed In Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh

Latest reports have been coming in from Greater Visakhapatnam municipal corporation area in Andhra Pradesh where the government has installed waste to energy plant.

According to latest reports coming in from Andhra Pradesh where in Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) to lower stress on landfills using waste-to-energy plant has been developed.

According to Dr Lakshmi Shah, GVMC Commissioner while speaking to ANI has said that waste to energy plant is an innovation that converts garbage generated in cities.

According to Dr Lakshmi Shah, GVMC Commissioner this garbage is then converted into power and gives back to households.

The capacity of this plant is around 1,200 tonnes per day. Every 100 tonnes will produce 1 MW of power. 

According to Dr Lakshmi Shah, GVMC Commissioner with this, we will be able to produce above 8-10 MW of power per day. 

This will improve energy efficiency and reduce garbage burden on the city according to Dr Lakshmi Shah, GVMC Commissioner.
