BJP Suspends Leader Nupur Sharma And Naveen Jindal For Their Comments On Minorities

Latest reports have been coming in from Bharatiya Janata party which has officially suspended Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal for their comments on minority.

According to reports coming in BJP has suspended Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal from party's primary membership.

According to the party's official statement this has been done citing her views as "contrary to the Party's position on various matters". 

According to reports this decision of BJP to suspend Nupur Sharma from the party has been done with immediate effect.


However on the contrary BJP leader Nupur Sharma has also issued an apolog tweets in which she had mentioned that I take back my words if they hurt anyone's religious sentiments.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
