India's Covid Vaccination Coverage Exceeds 196.94 Crore: Health Ministry


The inclusion of the COVID-19 vaccine in India combined exceeded the mark of 196.94 crores (1,96,94,40,932) today, informing the Department of Health and Family Welfare.

A total of 55,80,69,125 vaccine doses were given as the first dose, 49,98,02,380 vaccine doses were given as the second dose and 24,07,273 as monitoring doses in the 18-44 age group.

Similarly, in the 45-59 age group, 20,34,14,801 received the first dose, 19,30,99,268 received the second dose and 22,93,280 received the dosage while, 12,72,28,781 vaccinated doses. was given as a first dose, 12,05,89,141 as a second and 2,33,65,301 as monitoring volumes for people over 60 years.

During that time, India reported 15,940 new Covid incidents and 20 deaths in the last 24 hours.

As a result, the number of active cases in India increased to 91,779 and the daily positivity rate was 4.39 percent.

Earlier this month, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya hosted a video conference with Health Ministers and senior officials of the States and Union Territories (UTs) to review the progress of the HarGharDastak 2.0 vaccination campaign.

Highlighting the increase in cases in some states and provinces and reducing the COVID-19 trial, Mr Mandaviya said the increase and timely testing would enable Covid cases to be detected early and help prevent the spread of the virus in the community.

He called on the Union provinces and territories to continue and strengthen their focus and focus on genetic engineering to achieve new transformations in the country.

He indicated that the five-pronged strategy for Testing, Follow-up, Treatment, Vaccination and Adherence to Covid Appropriate Behavior (CAB) should be continued and monitored by States / UTs.
