Bengal BJP CEO Dilip Ghosh Under Fire With Comments On Mamata Banerjee

Expressing outrage at allegations of negative comments by BJP national vice-president Dilip Ghosh against West Bengal Prime Minister Mamata Banerjee in the party's main media program, Trinamool Congress general secretary Abhishek Banerjee wants him arrested.
During an interview at the 'India Today East Conclave', Mr Ghosh allegedly made derogatory remarks about Ms Banerjee's family. He also commented against the prime minister, referring to his campaign for "Banglar Meye" (daughter of Bengal) during the last vote in Bengal and his later visit to Goa where he claimed to be related to the coastal region.

Expressing shock at the words of the former BJP president, Diamond Harbor Trinamool Congress MP on Wednesday wrote on Twitter, "It is sad. PM @narendramodi, it 's time to arrest this loose language! Is this the way @BJP4India leaders are just sitting around the female Prime Minister? "

Trinamool Congress MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar in the video expressed shock that such words could be used by a politician against a woman, who may be the only female prime minister in the country.

Ms Dastidar said she had put on a black badge that contradicted Ghosh's words "insulting women" and demanded action. State BJP leaders could not be reached for comment.
