    "His Life Is Special": PM's Honor to NDA Presidential Nominee


    Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday praised the NDA nominee for the upcoming presidential election Droupadi Murmu.
    The premier said "Ms Murmu's life is amazing". Prime Minister Modi also said there was the same joy and feeling of Ms Murmu as there was in the former Indian president, the late APJ Abdul Kalam.

    The premier said people welcomed Ms Murmu as they did with former president Kalam when the BJP nominated him as president in 2002.

    Ms Murmu and co-candidate of the opposition Yashwant Sinha are the only candidates for the presidency scheduled for July 18 from 10am to 5pm.

    Presidential Returning Officer Rajya Sabha Secretary-General PC Mody announced on June 30 that 115 nominations had been submitted to the presidency but that only Ms Murmu and Mr Sinha were found to be fulfilling all the requirements for official nomination.
