Man Stabs Mother, Older Sister Dead in Chhattisgarh


A 19-year-old man allegedly killed his mother and older sister at a South Eastern Coalfield Limited (SECL) staff quarters in Korba in Chhattisgarh district on Friday, police said.
Aman Das is accused of stabbing his mother Laxmi, 44, and sister Anchal, 21, to death in the bathroom of their SECL home in Adarsh ​​Nagar colony under the Kusmunda police station this morning, Darri City Police Superintendent Litesh Singh said. .

The killings took place around 11am, when neighbors noticed that the main entrance to the house of R K Das, who works for the SECL, had been open for several hours, but there was no family movement, he said.

Neighbors found the woman and her daughter lying in a pool of blood in the bathroom and reported RK Das, who was on his way to work around 5am, the official said.

Police and an investigation team and a dog team arrived at the scene. The bodies were sent for autopsy, he said.

During the investigation, police arrested Aman Das, who confessed to stabbing his mother and sister with a kitchen knife, following his vomiting when he arrived home drunk, the official said.

Police found a knife in the suspect's possession and an investigation was under way.
