Madhya Pradesh: 4 Died In Morena After Blast in Firecracker Godown

Morena: Four people died in Morena after explosion in a godown of firecrackers. Firecrackers were also being manufactured at the site of mishap. The explosion was so strong that the building in which the firecrackers were being made completely collapsed. 

Many people making firecrackers were buried under the rubble. The condition of 4 is said to be critical. The accident happened at 9 am on Thursday in Jaitpur village near Banmore town.

The seriously injured have been admitted to Morena Hospital. According to the information, stock of firecrackers was brought here from outside. 

Firecrackers were being made and stored: Along with packing firecrackers inside the building, some people were making firecrackers. During this, the accident happened due to an explosion. The walls of the surrounding houses have been damaged. 

Several people are feared trapped: After the accident, there was an atmosphere of panic. People started running here and there to save their loved ones. Several people are feared trapped under the rubble. Relief and rescue operation has been launched with the help of police and local people. 

Girl pulled out of rubble: A 9-year-old girl has been pulled out of the rubble by the people. She has been sent to Morena for treatment. So far 7 people have been pulled out of the rubble. Collector B Karthikeya, SP Ashutosh Bagri, Morena MLA Rakesh Mavai have reached the spot.

JCBs deployed to remove debris: The house behind the building where the explosion took place has been completely damaged. Three JCBs have been deployed to clear the debris. Many people live in this house on rent. The administration team is collecting the details of the people living in this building.

In 2015, blast in Petlawad claimed 73 lives: Blast took place on 12 September 2015 in Petlawad of Jhabua district. 73 people lost their lives in this accident.
