Madhya Pradesh Weather: Heavy Rains in Gwalior, Chambal

Bhopal: In Madhya Pradesh, especially in Gwalior-Chambal, the rivers and streams are in spate due to the rain since 4 days. Madikheda Dam is flooded due to rain in Shivpuri. The Tigra Dam in Gwalior is also full.

The Meteorological Department says that there is a possibility of heavy rains in many districts of the state for the next one week. A strong weather system is being formed in Gwalior-Chambal. This is the reason for the good rain here.

Chances of good rain in Bhopal for 2 days from today: The Meteorological Department has predicted good rain in the next 48 hours in many areas of Bhopal. During this, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain at isolated places in Navibagh, Berasia, Arera Hills, Bairagarh and Kolar of the city on Monday and Tuesday.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
