Programme in New Delhi under Khelo India-2022 today

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that many cities of the state have got the opportunity to host sports programme under Khelo India. All necessary preparations should be made for their systematic organization. 

A programme is being organized in New Delhi on October 20 with Chief Minister Chouhan and Union Minister of Sports, Youth Welfare and Information Broadcasting Anurag Singh Thakur as chief guests to apprise them about the outline of Khelo India Youth Games-2022.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that sports grounds have been constructed from cities to villages by increasing the sports budget. Talented players have also been given priority in government services.

Khelo India and Madhya Pradesh: The activities of Khelo India Youth Games-2022 will be held in eight cities of Madhya Pradesh. After the launch of the Games on 20th October in New Delhi, 7 thousand players and 5000 support staff will be in active role for 28 different sports. 

Malkhamb, the state sport of Madhya Pradesh has also got a place in Khelo India. Various sports activities will take place in Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain, Maheshwar, Mandla and Balaghat including capital Bhopal.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
