T-20 World Cup: How Mohammad Shami Changed Course of The Warmup Match Against Australia With His Yorkers



Melbourne (Australia): India won their first warm-up match against Australia. In the game of 40 overs, the Australia's position was strong till 39 overs. Now in the last over, Australia needed 11 runs. Captain Rohit handed the ball to Mohammad Shami. That's where this bowler changed the course of the match. He gave only 4 runs and took 3 wickets. Also did a runout.

First ball: Pat Cummins and Josh Inglis were present at the crease when Shami came to bowl in the last over. He bowled the first ball low full toss. Cummins runs for 2 runs.

Second ball: Shami bowled a dangerous yorker and on this ball also Cummins took 2 runs.

Third ball: Cummins hits a hard shot and Kohli takes a brilliant catch.

Fourth ball: After this Ashton Agar was run out on the very next ball. Shami did this runout.

Fifth ball: Now Australia needed 7 runs off 2 balls to win. But Shami bowled a brilliant yorker and Josh Inglis could not understand this ball and got clean bowled.

Sixth ball: Now 7 runs were needed off the last ball, but Shami bowled another inbound ball, which shattered Kane Richardson's stumps. In such a situation, Mohammad Shami was instrumental in India's win, who was kept in the reserve player in the World Cup team.
