What is Delhi excise scam? Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia reached CBI office

New Delhi: The controversy over the liquor policy of the Kejriwal government in Delhi continues. CBI probing in this case summoned Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia for questioning. He also reached the CBI office. But the Aam Aadmi Party has claimed that the CBI intends to arrest Sisodio.

Before reaching the CBI headquarters, Manish Sisodia reached the Aam Aadmi Party office and discussed with the leaders. From here he reached Rajghat along with AAP leaders.

AAP leaders protesting outside CBI office have been taken into custody by Delhi Police. MP Sanjay Singh is also among the detained leaders.

Sisodia reached rajghat: At Rajghat, Sisodia paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. Sisodia had earlier said that the CBI has made preparations to arrest him. Sisodia says CBI raided at his house, raided in the village but got nothing

Entire case is fake, claims Sisodia: Terming the whole matter as fake, Sisodia said that they want to put him in jail. So that he may not be able to go to Gujarat. The Deputy CM of Delhi said that the condition of the schools in Gujarat is dire. Youths are unemployed. He said that BJP is losing in Gujarat elections. So preparations are being made to put him in jail.

Two big allegations against Sisodia: There are two main allegations against Manish Sisodia in the Excise Policy case of the Delhi Government. The first allegation is that when the Excise Department issued licenses for liquor shops, during this period Manish Sisodia benefitted private vendors  to the tune of Rs 144 crore 36 lakh. Because during this the license fee of so much rupees was waived.

Apart from this, Manish Sisodia is also accused of taking many big decisions without taking the cabinet into confidence and without the final approval of Lieutenant Governor.

First arrest: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) recently made the first arrest in the Delhi Liquor Policy case before the CBI summoned Deputy CM Manish Sisodia. The ED had arrested Sameer Mahendru, a close aide of Manish Sisodia.

CBI found nothing: At the same time, after receiving the summon, Sisodia made a tweet. In which he wrote that after 14 hours of CBI raid at his house, nothing came out. They searched his bank locker. Nothing came out of it. They could not find anything in their village. Now he has been called to CBI Headquarters.

Sisodia's name at the top of the FIR: Manish Sisodia's name is at the tops in the FIR registered by the CBI regarding the Delhi Excise Policy case. The names of the rest of the accused are below him. In such a situation, it is certain that Manish Sisodia is in the center of the investigation.

He’ll be in jail till Gujarat elections, says Kejrieal: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal alleged that Manish Sisodia is being framed in a false case and "he will be in jail till Gujarat results are out so that he does not go for campaigning in Gujarat elections."

AAP's campaign will strengthen after Sisodia's arrest: Aam Aadmi Party's chief spokesperson Saurabh Bharadwaj said, "AAP's campaign in Gujarat will strengthen after Manish Sisodia's arrest. Songs of freedom are being song. We don’t have any complaints from ED or CBI as they are doing what Center has asked them to do.”
