Change in Team India's T-20 squad likely, senior players will be out


New Delhi: After a humiliating loss to England in the semi-finals, there will be a change in Team India's T20 squad. Senior players can be out of the T-20 team. 

A BCCI source said, 'The T-20 team will see a lot of changes in the next one year. Players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Dinesh Karthik and R Ashwin will be out gradually.'
The BCCI source said- 'Looking at the World Cup, it seems that Karthik and Ashwin's last match in the T20 format was the World Cup semi-final. On the other hand, the board has left it to Rohit and Kohli to decide their future.
Coaching staff sent on rest: Meanwhile, BCCI has sent the entire coaching staff, including head coach Rahul Dravid, on rest for the New Zealand tour. National Cricket Academy (NCA) chief VVS Laxman will be the head coach on this tour.

Rohit can announce retirement: Meanwhile, there are speculations that Rohit can announce his retirement from T-20. It is possible, because he looked very sad after losing in the semi-finals. He was comforted by coach Rahul Dravid. After the match, the statement in front of the media was also given by Dravid, not by Rohit.
BCCI has not asked anyone to retire: A BCCI source said that the board has not asked anyone to retire. It will be the players' own decision. Yes, the T20 schedule for the next 12 months in 2023 is very busy. 

During this, most of the senior players will focus on ODIs and Test matches. Yes, most of the senior players will not be seen playing T20 next year, according to BCCI source.
